Tour of Aunt Addie's Project in Long Newnton
Coffee and a biscuit on arrival and then a whistle-stop tour of the social
farming project which is driven by creating an experience for local groups -
disadvantaged / disabled and other community to learn about - and reap the
benefits from - planting and growing. There are fruit trees, bee hives, 27
allotments, a commercial arm with polytunnels and masses of varieties of crops
and herbs as well as countless plans in progress.

Bread Making Demonstration with Tom Herbert at The Priory Inn
(can be
followed by Cotswold Tasting Lunch)
Tom Herbert, the 5th generation baker and owner of Hobbs House bakery
who has 'hot bread in his genes' will use the Priory Inn as a base for a
fascinating demonstration of bread baking. The Inn's wood-oven will be

Cheese-Making Experience Day at Woefuldane with Melissa
Ravenhill
Spend the day in our Farm Dairy making hard and soft cheeses. You will make two
small batches of soft and fresh cheese which will be ready for you to collect a
few days later. Throughout the day we will also be making a full commercial
batch of hard cheese which you will be able to observe and help with. Your day
will end as you prepare your very own hard cheese to press. Your cheese will be
cloth wrapped and labelled to be stored and ready for you to eat – three months
or so later. All protective clothing is provided as is a bread and cheese lunch
in Farmhouse.

Tour of Local Vineyard - Bow-in-the-Cloud (can be followed by Potting
Shed lunch)
This delightful vineyard is located one mile east of Malmesbury on a small
pocket of Cotswold cornbrache soil in an area which is generally characterised
by clay. The Willingdales produce the spectacular medal winning “Cloud-Nine”
bubbly and many other delicious wines that you will get to try within the smell
of the soil and the gently loping hares.

Cotswold Oktoberfest - a Celebration of Local Lagers at The Priory Inn
Come and enjoy a range of different lagers made by a small family-run business

permitting, the Oktoberfest will be under tents accompanied by live 'oompah'

Dinner and Launch of Margot Smith's Recipe Book at The
Close Hotel
Tetbury resident Margo Smith will introduce you to her book 'Food,
Family and Faraway Places'. A personal collection of recipes, which Margot
either wrote or adapted from other sources, over the past 60 years. The book is
a culinary journey through her early life growing up in a hotel, and then on to
the worldwide travels as the wife of a serving officer in the Royal Air Force.
Guests will enjoy a three course meal designed around carefully selected menus
from the book. During the meal we will be joined by the informative and
entertaining Jackie Wheels from Oxford Wines, who will guide us through wines
chosen to complement the various courses.
Guests gather at the hotel from 7pm to sit down at 7.30pm and the cost is £29.95

in the historic Market Place
